| This parameter is only intended for a temporary usage in order to better support an upgrade of BCS v5 -> v6! Here a problem might be that there are plenty of configured remote links on show or track level, which use the old SeplProtocol. If you then configure the usage of WebSockets for newer shows/tracks, you will end up with two BCS connections to the remote server - one using SeplProtocol and one using WebSockets.
To avoid this situation, you can configure a replacement of the old connection info in this value. The info to be replaced is given by the key name in which this value is located (which has the format: For the protocol use one of: SP, WS, WSS. Using this value will not change the remote link info in the metadata. But whenever BCS wants to make use of a remote link, the data is first exchanged by the info given in this value and only then BCS tries to establish the remote connection. If you are using a master and a buddy server you have to configure both of them in two separate keys below RemoteLoginData. |
