| Can be Yes/TRUE or No/FALSE, standard is yes. This value should only be changed to "No" if all your files are online accessible (Harddisk, CD-Rom jukebox, ... ). By default the Database Manager will look for special files which specify the medium number before looking for any real file. You can omit this search (with value "No") if some files had to be removed to different directories, e.g. due to size reasons. Probably some of the files will be located in directories with a different medium number or perhaps without any medium number and the DBM will no longer find the files. In this case it is better if the DBM skips the medium search and looks directly for the real files. In both cases the algorithm how the DBM examines all archive paths is the same. |
