| Here you can specify an INI file which will be used by the Database Manager as cache for the assignment of medium numbers to the corresponding directory. Such a file will make the access to archive mediums much faster, because the DBM will know in which directory it can find a specific medium. You can edit the entries in the file directly, but it is not necessary. The DBM will write an entry whenever it finds a medium, so the ini file will grow, until all directories are recorded. Hint: the file is not used for local drives, but only for mapped directories (harddisk, jukeboxes, ...) The default value for the filename is "ArchMedDir.ini" and the location is parallel to the global parameter file of the DigaSystem registry. |
